How many modules do you get per semester at UNISA?
Students are limited to the registration of 5 modules per semester. To facilitate the single registration, the prerequisites have been amended to co-requisites for most modules, with certain exceptions as determined by individual colleges.
How many modules do I need to graduate at Unisa?
At Unisa, undergraduate modules are usually 12 credits. Each module is pegged according to a specific NQF level. A bachelor’s degree of 360 credits, for example, consists of 30 modules of 12 credits each.

How do I check my modules on myUnisa?
Go to https://my.unisa.ac.za and login with your student number and password. If you haven’t yet activated your myUnisa account and claimed your myLife e-mail account, click on “Claim Unisa login” on the homepage of myUnisa and follow the instructions. Click on a module tab/link at the top of the screen.
How do I choose modules at Unisa?
Click on the modules from the drop-down list for which you want to register.
- meet all the pre-requisites and co-requisites for the selected module.
- enter the correct module code.
- select the correct semester (1 = first semester; 2 = second semester)
