SIOC Community Development Trust Bursary Application Requirements 2025/2026

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

• South African citizen
• Reside in beneficiary communities (John TaolGaetsewe District in the Northern Cape/ Thabazimbi Local Municipality in Limpopo/ Tsantsabane Local Municipality in ZF Mgcawu District in the Northern Cape)
• Under the age of 35 years
• Currently in Matric OR have completed Matric
• Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% on the latest academic results
• Intend on studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study
• Accepted to study at a recognised public University/ University of Technology/ College in South Africa
• Proven financial need (based on household income)
• Preference will be given to students with disabilities

SIOC Community Development Trust will only consider your application if you have taken care to complete this form legibly and in full ensuring that all required documents have been attached.

ATTACHED ARE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS

• A certified copy of your September (Grade 12 learners) matric results
• A certified copy of your final NSC results (learners who completed NSC)
• Proof of acceptance at a public recognised institution of higher learning
• A one-page cover letter motivates your case
• A certified copy of your South African ID
• Recent proof of residence
• Proof of income of the parent(s) or guardian
• Medical note of the type of disability (where applicable)
