Electronic/ Electrical Engineering (Light Current) (BEng or BSc)
Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Mechatronics) (BEng)
Information Technology (BSc)

Siemens Bursary Application Requirements 2025/2026

Must be a South African citizen
Must have completed Matric
Must be between 18 and 25 years old
Must be unemployed
Must be studying or have been accepted to study full-time within one of the aforementioned Engineering and Technology fields of study
Must be studying or have been accepted to study at a recognised tertiary institution within South Africa
Must have achieved a minimum of level 5 for English in Matric
Must have achieved a minimum of level 5 for Mathematics (NOT Mathematical Literacy) in Matric
Must have achieved a minimum of level 5 for Physical Science in Matric
Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for the current year of study (Matric or tertiary studies)
Must meet the registration requirements of your tertiary institution
Must NOT be receiving any other funding (NSFAS/ bursary/ scholarship etc)
Must be willing to work for Siemens during holiday periods
Preference will be given to students from disadvantaged backgrounds

Proof of acceptance to study at a tertiary institution (on institutions letterhead)
Full tertiary academic record, if currently studying (certified copy)
Curriculum Vitae
Covering letter/ motivational letter (explaining why you should be awarded the bursary and what you plan to do once graduated)
