ADMSSION REQUIREMENT:
PURPOSE:
The qualification serves to provide students with the knowledge, affective, cognitive and conceptual tools and practical techniques for additional higher education studies in nursing. This qualification signifies that the learner has attained a basic level of higher education knowledge and competence in nursing and is capable of applying such knowledge and competence in the workplace.
LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE: The following is a recommendation:
( Not an admission requirement, students will not be denied admission if they do not comply )
- Communication (English) level 4 – 50% and above
- Mathematics / Mathematical literacy level 4 – 50% and above
- Life Sciences level/Biology Level 4 – 50% and above
Grade 12 (Std 10) – Minimum Points 20

To qualify for the programme prospective learner must achieve at least 20 points
The APS is thus calculated as the aggregate of the points scored for all subjects of the candidate’s matric certificate
VERIFICATION OF MATRIC CERTIFICATE:
Every learner’s matric certificate, prior to commencement of the course will be subjected to verification with UMALUSI. If the is found to have submitted a false certificate he/she will be immediately notified of the finding and taken off the course
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- In terms of current relevant legislation:
- Future Nurses Nursing School will register students for the duration of one year period of training
- Future Nurses Nursing School will offer programs and accept students for approved and accredited qualifications
- Future Nurses Nursing School students must have access to approved clinical facilities according to training regulations issued by SANC and has a memorandum of agreement in place.
