Details of Eshowe High School Application Forms 2023/2024

Documents must be submitted with this application, if any document/s is/are outstanding the application will be invalid:

Certified copy of the Unabridged Birth Certificate/ Birth Certificate/ ID Document.
Certified copy of your Term one (1) and Term two (2) 2023 school report. No other report will be acceptable.
Proof of physical (residential) address (e.g. Water / Electricity / Telephone account etc.)
Certified copies of both parents Identity Documents, if one of the parents is deceased proof must be attached.
Immunisation Card
Study Permit for foreign learners/ Temporary or Permanent Residence Permit

Note:

R120.00 admin fee on submission of application to cover administration costs plus a High School readiness assessment.
Applications for Grade 10 and 11 for which a subject choice form is not completed will not be considered.
Learners from other schools who are admitted to Eshowe High School in Grade 10 or 11 are limited to the packages that still have space to accommodate them.

Eshowe High School Admission and Application Form Notice 2023/2024

Attached is an application form which must be completed by the parent / legal guardian and returned to the school no later than 13th August 2023. Please remember to include ALL certified documentation required – TERM ONE (1) AND TERM TWO (2) SCHOOL REPORT, BIRTH CERTIFICATE,

PARENTS’ IDENTITY DOCUMENTS/ DEATH CERTIFICATES, PROOF OF RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS, IMMUNISATION CARD AND STUDY PERMIT FOR FOREIGN LEARNERS/ TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMITS.

The school will be unable to process your application if any documents are outstanding. Also required is an Administration Fee of R120.00 to cover administration costs plus a High School readiness assessment.

The application may be considered invalid if all information is not supplied and any applications received without payment will not be processed.

Application forms will be processed from September 2023. Applicants will be notified as to the success of their applications from the end of September 2023.

IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REPLY BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER, THE APPLICATION WAS UNSUCCESSFUL.

It may be necessary for certain applicants to undertake an English proficiency test in order to assess their ability to cope with the standard of English used at this school. If this is the case you will be notified accordingly and applicants will be required to present themselves for the assessment on a date to be notified.

Applicants and their parents may be required to attend an interview with the School Principal or a member of the School Management. If this is the case you will be notified accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COMPLETION OF THE APPLICATION FORM DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY GUARANTEE ADMISSION TO ESHOWE HIGH SCHOOL AS THE SCHOOL RECEIVES MANY MORE APPLICANTS THAN IT CAN ACCOMMODATE. PARENTS ARE ADVISED TO ALSO APPLY TO OTHER SCHOOLS IN CASE THEIR APPLICATIONS TO ESHOWE HIGH SCHOOL ARE NOT SUCCESSFUL.

School Fees (which are compulsory in terms of the South African Schools Act, No. 84 of 1996) are R16 250.00 per annum for this year and may well increase in 2023.

Hostel Fees (Boarding and School fees combined) are currently R52 550.00 per annum and will also increase in 2023.
