About the Eastern Cape Department of Public Works: The Eastern Cape Department of Public Works (ECDPW) aim to supply high-quality infrastructure services to its residents. The ECDPW implemented the bursary scheme to promote skill development within fields of study related to Engineering Sciences and Property related professions. This year the department will be awarding bursaries to 50 students who reside within the province of the Eastern Cape.

Eastern Cape Department of Public Works Bursary Application Requirements 2025/2026

South African citizen
Permanently resident within the Eastern Cape province
From a disadvantaged background
High academic results/ strong potential
Completed Matric
Studying or plan on studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study
Studying or plan on studying at a recognised and accredited South African University/ University of Technology
NOT currently in possession of any other bursary funding
In financial need- cannot afford tertiary education
*Preference will be given to female students, those with disabilities and children of military veterans
