2023 FEE STRUCTURE
Dainfern College enjoys outstanding facilities as well as a reputation for academic excellence. This, in conjunction with our dynamic cultural offer, competitive sporting sides and strong outreach focus, makes us a force to be reckoned with in the independent schools’ sector.
The deposit and fee structure for 2023 is outlined below.
Application Fee
The non-refundable Application Fee is R500,00 per child. This amount is payable when you place your child/ren on our Application list. The Application Fee covers the administrative costs involved with your application and your application will not be considered until the Fee has been paid. Please use your child/ren’s name as a reference when doing an Internet transfer (EFT). Banking details are on the last page of this document.
Entrance Fees
Grade 0: Upon offer of a Grade 0 place for the following year, Entrance Fees are payable before 31 March of the year prior to commencing at the College. Class allocation assessments take place in the second half of the year before commencement at Dainfern College.
Grades 1-12: Entrance Fees for students in Grades 1-12 are payable once a place has been offered, the child has been assessed and has been accepted in writing by the College.
Grades 0-12: In the event that a child does not take up the space for which the Entrance Fee is being held, the refundable deposit portion of the Entrance Fee will be forfeited, should the College not be able to fill the place.

THE ‘B’ DEBENTURE OPTION (By application)
Dainfern College has in the past issued ‘A’ and ‘B’ debentures. The issue of debentures is controlled by our Board of Governors. New ‘A’ debentures are no longer a part of our offering at Dainfern College.
The ‘B’ debenture costs R47 000 and gives you an R4 700 discount in school fees per annum for every ‘B’ debenture held. Application for ‘B’ debentures can be made through our Finance Committee (Fincom) and all applications will be put on a waiting list. Fincom meets once a term and debentures will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis, based on the needs of the College. You are able to purchase a maximum of five ‘B’ debentures per child.
PLEASE NOTE: An Entrance Fee needs to be in place for every child at the College. This Entrance Fee remains entirely separate from any debentures awarded or held.

- Additional fees (sundry charges): These are payable by the end of the month in which they first appear on the statement.
- Payments: Should fees not be paid timeously, overdue accounts will be dealt with as per the terms of the Dainfern College contract of enrolment. Interest on overdue accounts will be charged at a maximum rate in line with the terms relating to incidental credit as defined by the National Credit Act of 2005.
- Withdrawal of educational services: In the event of non-payment of fees, educational services will be withdrawn from the student as per the Dainfern College Overdue Accounts Policy in accordance with ISASA.

- All fees must be fully paid in advance for each calendar year or part thereof.
Eg: If the student arrives in September then one term’s fees are due immediately. - In January of the following year, the full year’s fees become due, payable in advance.
- No fees will be refunded should the student leave the school before the year is completed.
- All fees must be fully paid in advance for each calendar year or part thereof.
- Credit checks: The College will do credit checks in line with the ISASA Code and commercial practice.
