Two Year Acting for Film Program
Taught by top industry professionals, the 2-year acting for film program prepares the student for work as a professional actor in the film, television and theatre industries.
The program consists of:
- Higher Certificate in Acting for Film (NQF 5 Qualification)
- Advanced Certificate in Acting for Film (NQF 6 Qualification)
Higher Certificate in Acting for Film: The Higher Certificate in Acting for Film concentrates on building a solid foundation in the craft of acting through exercises, mastering technique, theory and performance practice.
Advanced Certificate in Acting for Film: The Advanced Certificate in Acting for Film consolidates and refines the acting techniques learnt in the Higher Certificate, whilst further broadening the skills base necessary to be successful in the industry.
Students are offered the flexibility of completing either one or two year depending on individual requirements. To be competitive in the industry, we recommend students complete the full Two-Year Program.
At the conclusion of the two-year program, students are given the opportunity to audition for the prestigious ACT Professional Program.

ACTING FOR CAMERA
The Fundamentals of Performance: Understanding the self is fundamental to authentic performance, building confidence and connecting to truth. This course enables the actor to develop the tools required to deliver believable performances on screen.
The course culminates in the performance of a dynamic scene and monologue.
ACTING FOR CAMERA
Accessing Emotions: The development of the emotional self is the key to unlocking truthful performance. Knowing how we are shaped by our life experiences and understanding their role in our psychological development, enables the actor to harness emotional truth and deliver dynamic performances on screen.
The course culminates in the performance of an emotionally charged monologue.
ACTING FOR CAMERA
On Camera Bootcamp: In the Acting for Camera-On Camera Bootcamp course, students develop the specific tools required to deliver a winning on-camera performance, as well as the essential techniques needed for auditioning in film and television.
The course culminates in the filmed performance of a scene.
