The minimum admission requirement for a Higher Certificate (NQF 5) is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with an endorsement for Higher Certificate admission as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi) or an equivalent qualification as evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

BMT College acknowledges that all learning has value. Therefore, endeavours to recognise prior learning and allow students access to the qualification following the College’s RPL Policy (QP5415). In addition, NQF level 4+ qualifications from accredited institutions may qualify for RPL admission by the College’s academic council.

The minimum admission requirement for Diploma (NQF 6) studies is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with an achievement rating of 3 (Moderate Achievement, 40-49%) or better in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects (see Appendix I), or an equivalent qualification as evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
